Course Description

The HICS Practical Course will equip leaders with the knowledge, confidence and practice implementing HICS and using the various resources that are available. This course will introduce and operationalize the Hospital Command Center and how it is utilized to coordinate and assign resources during a crisis.

Course Objectives

• Assess what resources are available during disaster response
• Determine how resources are requested, coordinated and applied during response
• Discuss the role of the Hospital Command Center during crisis response
• Implement job action sheets and utilize HICS forms

Course Details

Course Length: 3-hours

Format: In-class, knowledge-based and practical training

Class Size: Up to 30 Participants

Prerequisites: HICS Awareness and HICS Operations Course

Instructors: Two certified ASG Subject Matter Experts

Certificate: Issued upon successful completion of the course
