COVID-19 Workplace Safety Training
Is Your State Requiring General Training for COVID-19 Workplace Safety Practices?
Sixteen states have begun requiring all employees complete general training for COVID-19 awareness and workplace safety practices. Each state's training requirements vary slightly, however they are all based off national guidance from the CDC, the WHO and OSHA.
To meet this urgent need, ASG has developed a flexible, "finish at your own pace" virtual course that fulfills this training requirement no matter which state your business resides.
The course takes an estimated 75 minutes to complete and all who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate to their email address provided at registration.

COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard Solutions
Businesses' Role in Stopping the Spread
More and more states are passing COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards, putting laws into place to protect the health and safety of employees and customers while attempting to stop the spread of the virus. While these COVID-19 Workplace Safety Standards are temporary (often six months renewable), states are working to put long-term laws into place to replace them. However, the temporary nature of the standards do not diminish their importance; businesses must fully comply or face fines.
Each COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard varies slightly from state to state. However, they are all based off guidelines from OSHA, the CDC and the WHO for infectious disease workplace preparedness and safety standards so there are commonalities woven through the emergency laws in each state.
These new standards will no doubt place extra burdens on businesses during a pandemic which has already proven challenging for many industries. However, businesses can play a vital role in slowing the spread of COVID-19 with effective preparedness, plans and training.
One-stop Shop to Compliance
Small businesses in particular have found compliance challenging. Lacking in-house expertise to complete the requirements, many have found it difficult to find an affordable and quick path to compliance. The good news is that ASG is here to help.
For over 15 years, ASG has been helping organizations build preparedness, write plans and train staff on infectious disease prevention methods. As the COVID-19 pandemic began in the U.S., ASG was pushing ahead with ways to support businesses struggling to meet the requirements of their state's COVID-19 workplace safety requirements.
While each state's standard may vary slightly, they are all based off the internationally recognized guidance of OSHA, the CDC and the WHO.
ASG's 5-step Path to Compliance process is guided by these same organizations' guidelines and can conform to any state's specific requirements.
